THE GRADY ALLISON CUP

Grady Allison presents the Cup named in his honor to Whit Suber & Holly Tree Country Club at the 2003 Greenville County Amatuer


Named for longtime association member Grady Allison, the Allison Cup goes to the club who has the lowest team score over the first two rounds of the County Am. The three lowest scores from each club count each of the first two days. The team award promotes competition, pride, & fellowship among competing clubs. The Cup is presented at the awards ceremony following the tournament, and the Cup is held for one year of the reigning champions!

Furman University Golf Club members won the 2004 Allison Cup behind the top 10 finishes of Ryan Potter & Todd Satterfied. Congratulations to Furman on winning their first Grady Allison Cup!



2003 - HOLLY TREE!
Holly Tree took possesion of the Grady Allison Cup Saturday at the Greenville County Am. Named for longtime association member Grady Allison, the Cup goes to the club who has the lowest team score over the first two rounds of the County Am. The three lowest scores from each club count each of the first two days. Holly Tree edged out Musgrove Mill & Summersett. Pebble Creek was the defending champs. Congratulations to Holly Tree!






2002 Allison Cup goes to Pebble Creek
Pebble Creek edeged Summersett by 2 strokes to reclaim the Grady Allison Cup during the first two rounds of the Greenville County Amateur. The Cup is decided by taking the 3 lowest scores - golf team format - from all players who are members of their club on each of the first two days. Both clubs were vying to become the first two time Allison Cup champions since the competition became part of the County Am in 1998. Pebble Creek finished at -15 and Summersett at -13. They were followed by Greer Country Club, who had their highest finish to date, and Greenville Country Club, the 2000 champions. Musgrove Mill G.C., new to the competition, shared the first round lead and finished fifth. The Allison Cup will be displayed at the Pebble Creek golf shop for the next year.
